Delicious drinks and pastries. I got the crème brûlée iced latte and cinnamon roll iced latte. Soooo goood also def recommend the mixed berries scones. I LOVE buttery scones and this delivered! I went 7/22/26 and they weren’t doing the bucket drinks anymore but still worth the trip.

The employees were friendly, and it’s still a cute spot. We came because we loved their homemade syrups, like the blueberry lavender and banana, but they no longer offer them homemade. Unfortunately, the drinks now taste much sweeter and artificial. I ended up throwing mine away because it was just too sweet for my taste. It’s still a nice place to visit, but if you’re looking for homemade fruit syrups, that no longer seems to be their vibe. I also miss the compostable rounded cups- small detail but they were cool!

Today, I finally visited Calico Coffee Bar after stopping by yesterday and seeing the insane line. I guess second time was the charm. Once I stepped in, i looked over the menu and woah! Why does every single drink come with cold foam!? I order the toasted coconut latte(no cold foam.) I was super excited but the coffee tasted burnt and acidic. While the place is cute and their drink combinations are fun , the actual coffee is meh and not worth the wait.

What is this magical place I’ve found?? Someone mentioned this was a ‘must-visit’ place when in Wilmington and I’m so glad I stopped. I’ve been dairy free and sugar free almost my entire life and have resolved that I am only able to order oat milk lattes at coffee shops, occasionally with sf vanilla syrup. That’s it. Yes, it is as depressing as it sounds. But this place had a variety of sf syrups and could modify ANY of their fun, unique drinks to be both sf and dairy free. I had a white chocolate and hazelnut latte with a salted vanilla cold foam. Ya’ll… I got to try sweet cold foam for the first time. 🥹 It’s as magical as everyone has made it sound. I loved the vibe and the sweet girls working there (I only got Naomi’s name but they were all so kind) but the drink was out of this world good. So, so thankful for places that go above and beyond to make food/drinks available to those with allergies. I also picked up a Crave cookie while I was there (gf and vegan). Can’t wait to try it.

Absolutely love this little coffee shop. They have so many great regular drinks and their special/seasonal menu is always on point. Cold foam in every flavor you can think. I've loved the Cookie Butter Latte and the Anne Boney 😋
